Here I Go Again On My Own

If you’re a fellow developer like me, you’re probably guilty of taking a lot from our community. It’s so easy these days to find solutions and our industry is ripe with niche mediums that deliver (most of the time) the exact answer to our problem. Seriously, what did we do before stackoverflow? I think I used to open a book or something.

Simply put, I’m guilty of taking a lot, but not giving back. I can justify that by rationalizing the quality or relevancy of my contribution. It has kept me from sharing for a long time. I mean, isn’t the world already chock full of developer blogs? Probably so, but after 15 years in the industry, I’ve learned that the trench is the best teacher and there’s always somebody out there that can learn from you.

Now, let’s go make things better.
